Boiling is an instant crowdfunding and crowdsourcing event. Each event four talented and impatient citymakers take the stage. The public donates €10,- as an entrance fee to get a voting ballot, a shared dinner and a great night.
After four pitches the crowd fills in the voting ballot consisting of the voting point (choose your favourite initiative), the tipping point: (tips and contacts to help realise each initiative) and the boiling point (how do you want to help yourself).
One pitcher wins a the donations, doubled by a Boiling partner. We’re working on the website at the moment and looking for funding partners.
Sold out events (150 pax), awesome crowdfunded and realised initiatives (5) and pitches (20) with engaged communities, good vibes and great PR results.
Springtide studios co-created the concept, coordinates the branding and does the communication and pr for events. Boiling is inspired on Soup Detroit and is an initiative by WeTheCity. Design made together with Floor Bijkersma. The Boiling website (currently in the making) is made with Jim.
